Reporting content
If you see a listing, user, or message that violates our rules, tap the flag icon inside the app to report it. We review every report within 24 hours.
Blocking a user
You can block any user by opening their profile and tapping the ⋯ menu. Blocked users cannot message you and their listings are hidden. You can unblock them later from Profile → Settings → Blocked Users.
Payments
Payments on The Tack Market are processed by Stripe. If you have a payment issue, contact us and include your transaction reference.
Deleting your account
Delete your account — follow the prompts to permanently remove your account and personal data.
Frequently asked
What items are prohibited? Counterfeit, stolen, illegal goods; firearms; controlled drugs; live animals; anything illegal in New Zealand. See our Terms of Service.
What does it cost to sell? Casual sellers choose, listing by listing. Selling privately: pay per listing, $1.99 for one or $5 for five, no commission, and you keep 100% of the sale. You choose how you and the buyer trade, and by choosing this option you trade at your own risk. Selling safely through Stripe: listings are free and unlimited, and you pay a 4.99% success fee only when the item sells (min $0.99, capped at $49). Selling a lot? A Business storefront is free to list with 4.99% commission on sales (min $0.99, capped at $49).
What about Stripe fees? Every card payment carries a processing fee of 2.9% + 30c, which on a $100 sale is $3.20. If you pay per listing, that cost is added to the buyer’s total at checkout so you receive your full listed price. On the success fee option and on business sales it comes out of your payout instead, same as any other card payment.
Can I arrange payment outside the app? Yes. Buyers and sellers are free to agree on bank transfer, cash on pickup or any other method. Just remember that off-platform payments don’t give you the same dispute protection a card payment does.
