If you see a listing, user, or message that violates our rules, tap the flag icon inside the app to report it. We review every report within 24 hours.
Blocking a user
You can block any user by opening their profile and tapping the ⋯ menu. Blocked users cannot message you and their listings are hidden. You can unblock them later from Profile → Settings → Blocked Users.
Payments
Payments on The Tack Market are processed by Stripe. If you have a payment issue, contact us and include your transaction reference.
Deleting your account
Delete your account — follow the prompts to permanently remove your account and personal data.
Frequently asked
What items are prohibited? Counterfeit, stolen, illegal goods; firearms; controlled drugs; live animals; anything illegal in New Zealand. See our Terms of Service.
What does it cost to sell? Casual sellers pay $1.99 per listing (or $5 for 5) and keep 100% of the sale price. Selling a lot? Switch to a Business storefront — listings are free and you only pay 4.99% commission when items sell (min $0.99, capped at $100).
What about Stripe fees? Stripe charges a standard card-processing fee on every payment. On casual sales we pass that cost to the buyer at checkout so the seller receives their full listed price. On business sales it comes out of the seller’s payout, same as any other card payment.
Can I arrange payment outside the app? Yes. Buyers and sellers are free to agree on bank transfer, cash on pickup or any other method. Just remember that off-platform payments don’t give you the same dispute protection a card payment does.
